This was a total useless day for all ORD personnel. I can understand if you said that this was meant for all recruits. That would mean it was like at BMTC. but you are asking all those who are going to ord to come back to watch others play games. Hey how bout HQ all of us are going to ORD and you are asking us to come back to play games. Hey we are suppose to stay in the night before so that we can get up just to play some stupid games...i dont think so. if you are askng why HQ can almost all the games. look who you are saking to play, all the ORD personnel. Where will we have he heart to play. Correct? Hey we all have no motivation. The discussion on this can go on forever, the misuse of people who have served thier time.

Life is really hard when it comes to difficult decision to make. But once its make, one should not regret anymore. Easier say than done...all the best to all my friends. The story given below is quite interesting and really gives us an insight into
DECISION MAKING

Which one will you choose?

A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use while the other disused. Only one child played on the disused track, the rest on the operational track. The train came, and you were just beside the track interchange. You could make the train change its course to the disused track and saved most of the kids. However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the disused track would be sacrificed. Or would you rather let the train go its way?

Let's take a pause to think what kind of decision we could make.

Most people might choose to divert the course of the train, and sacrifice only one child.

You might think the same way, I guess.

Exactly, I thought the same way initially because to save most of the children at the expense of only one child was rational decision most people would make, morally and emotionally.

But, have you ever thought that the child choosing to play on the disused track had in fact made the right decision to play at a safe place?

Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who choose to play where the danger was. This kind of dilemma happens around us everyday. In the office, community, in politics and especially in a democratic society, the minority is often sacrificed for the interest of the majority, no matter how foolish or ignorant the majority are, and how farsighted and knowledgeable the minority are. The child who chose not to play with the rest on the operational track was sidelined. And in the case he was sacrificed, no one would shed a tear for him. The friend who forwarded me the story said he would not try to change the course of the train because he believed that the kids playing on the operational track should have known very well that track was still in use,and that they should have run away if they heard the train's sirens. If the train was diverted, that lone child would definitely die because he never thought the train could come over to that track! Moreover, that track was not in use probably because it was not safe.

If the train was diverted to the track, we could put the lives of all passengers on board at stake! And in your attempt to save a few kids by sacrificing one child, you might end up sacrificing hundreds of people to save these few kids. While we are all aware that life is full of tough decisions that need to be made, we may not realize that hasty decisions may not always be the right one.

"Remember that what's right isn't always popular... and what's popular isn't always right."

Sorry man if we siad anything bad, we just want to help you . No bad intention.

Hey on my road to ORD. Ya the big three letters. For the last two years in Bedok Camp i saw people caome and go. Every bed in my bunk has changed hands. Along the course i never thought i would come this far. Now i am finally here. Hey i feel that its no big deal. To all out there just know that soonere or later it will be your turn soon.

But to those who have not yet gone in. NS is not prison, make the best out of it. You will live to cherish it. You may not think so. But coming from one who have gone to the brink of death and to the ends of the earth, cherish whatever you have. For me NS was the time i nearly died and also the time i learnt the true meaning of everything, life, friends, decisions, choices and more importantly GOD.

"If someone does not smile at you, be generous and offer your own smile.
Nobody needs a smile more than the one that cannot smile to others."

"A smile is the lighting system of the face, the cooling system

This was the most interesting i had this year. Had to do "some sort, so called" work for tris boss. But the best part of this mistake was that i go to spend my sat and sun with my one and only. i also got to do the project with her. ESP House productions...... hee hee. any way I learnt some thing new form my princess. Who says that she is not good, i think she is wonderful.

Bad part about this weekend....... I had a horrible driving experience today. Was quite tired and could not concentrate on the road. Almost langar so many times. Ya but managed to master vertical parking in 10 mins. Hey people say it is nothing much, but i am proud of it, who cares about others.

had a wonderful afternoon today. I was at her house and we cooked our own lunch . It cost 2 dollars for the both of us. The fun was in the cooking, Minestrone soup and also jelly. Hey reminds me have not gotten the chance to eat the ice cream and jelly. You must think that i am a pig huh. wel........ Oink Oink.

Hey if you are wondering why i can blog now. its because i am at work. yes now even i have to book in to camp on sunday nights.........stupid recruits. if not for them i would have been enjoying myself in camp doing nothing or maybe now in Aceh helping my old boos.
If you are wondering who he is read last week straits times. His name is LTC tay boon Khai. He is the proud looking guy standing next to PM in a picture on thur straits times. with arms akimbo.....................................back to me in camp. ya i am sitting on my bkss comfy chair and blogging on his computer. how bad can i be. BTW all this is illegal actually. Not suppose to be on the net after 10. Had fun this week end hoping to have a good week thi coming one. Bos going for 1 GDS exercise. No body to bother me......

"Friendly fire," or fratricide, is a military term used when troops
of
one nation accidentally kill their own. Fratricide has tragically
become a battle-field fact of life. David Foster in "Light and Life"
(July 2, 1994), tells us George Washington re-ported that during the
French and Indian War, 400 casual-ties resulted from soldiers who
panicked and sent volley after volley into their own ranks.

His own soldiers killed Stonewall Jackson, Confederate general during
the American Civil War, in 1863 as he galloped back into south-ern
lines.

Perhaps 10% of American casualties of World War II and 15% to 20%
during the Vietnam Conflict were the result of fratricide -- bombs
which were dropped by accident; errant rifle fire; artillery shells
landing on the wrong targets.

"Friendly fire" is the cause of countless casualties even today. Not
in battle, but in the workplace and on the home front. Teachers who
are assailed by parents "burn out" in just a few short years.
In-fighting within groups brings down worth-while organizations. Those
in the helping professions are set upon by those they try to care
for. Co-workers undermine one another, at the expense of productivity
and emotional health. Spouses fire verbal (and sometimes physical)
shots at one another until mortally wounded
marriages finally die. Families fight amongst themselves with
little regard for the damage wrought.

The loss from domestic "friendly fire" can-not be estimated. Yet
these
casualties are unnecessary and wasteful.

Someone said so well:

To come together is a beginning;
To stay together is progress;
To finish together is success.

Can an organization or family succeed when it sustains damages from
within? The solution to the problem of loss by friendly fire is found
in the word "together". We have come together for important reasons.
We are in it together. Through conflict and disagreement, we must
stand together. And in the end, if we finish at all, we will finish
together.

I am not responsible for what other people do or say, I am only
responsible for my reaction to what other people do or say.

We are who we want to be.

Our positions limit our responsibility not our thinking.

Appreciate those who are around you, not those who you want to be around you.

Those who tried and failed are braver than those who cose to give up in the beginning.

Insults are just words. They only hurt us when we choose to listen to the lies in them.

Command has to be respected, not feared. Respect has to be earned not given.

Subject or choice. Its your decision.

Time and tide waits for no man. We can choose to wait around doing nothing, or make the best out of it.

All things are progressive. Never aim for the sky when you have not climbed a hill. Set goals you can achive not what you dream of achieving.

Things in life are never fair. Enjoy what we got not what we want. Even if sh** happens, life goes on.

I am so proud of Erica today. She was having a pain the mouth since New year's day. She finally went to the dentist yesterday and had to to remove her wisdom tooth. The dentist said that her tooth was growing in an awkward position. Today she went to the dentist in the afternoon and finally had it removed. i am so proud of her for not crying through the day even though it is so pain. The anastatic wore off even before she got home. Dear i am proud of you for being so brave and deciding to go through the operation even though it was so pain.
